Wow Your Audience Part 2

March 1, 2018 by Mitch Taylor

We continue with Wow Your Audience Part 2 with MarkUBiz’s plan for Social Media Sharing.

What’s Your Plan?

7 days a week:  1 time a week post a call to action

2 times a week post something funny

2 times a week post something educational

2 times a week share local and community focused items.

They also recommended to post organically to your social media platforms whenever possible in order to get the highest number of views and the best response rates.

I was fortunate to have the pleasure of being invited to speak on the same bill as Vickie and my good friend Scott Faver as well at this conference and came away with many nuggets to share.  Scott shared another one earlier in the day in his seminar Promotion vs. Devotion and that was how to apply your filter.  Now Scott wasn’t talking about your filter in regards to what you say but instead how you think.  How can you help others and connect others to the people that they are looking for to help?  Who do you know in your network that has a problem or concern and then apply your “filter”, mentally scan your network and see who in your network can best help that person with their problem or concern?  Next time someone comes to you with a problem, apply your filter.  Who do you know that can help them?  Reach out and provide that connection for them.

Scott also spoke about the Referral Bucket and encouraged us to Forget Reciprocity.  It creates negative thinking and challenged us to realize that the pool you feed with referrals may not be the one that you drink from (get referrals from).  Scott’s above analogy with the Referral Bucket reminded me of a quote from Charlie “Tremendous” Jones regarding this same subject “If you give to get you’re not truly giving — you’re trading.”  True words and sage advice to heed to truly give value first.
