The Reggae Wedding Cocktail Hour

October 26, 2016 by Gregg Hollmann

dirty_banana_cocktailIn this 51st installment of the wedding cocktail hour playlist series, Michael Sullivan aka DJ Sully makes his maiden contribution with an authentic reggae set guaranteed to make your wedding guests feel super “irie.” DJ Sully is a key member of Ambient DJs’ wedding team, highly regarded for his deep music knowledge and skillful mixing.

For a signature drink, Sully has selected the “Dirty Banana.” However, before tackling the cocktail, Sully recommends drinking a cold Red Stripe beer! Regarding the Dirty Banana, the ingredients are: 2 oz. Tia Maria, 2 oz. dark rum, 2 oz. rum cream liqueur, 4 oz. milk, 1 oz. simple syrup, 3/4 of a banana and ice. Fill the blender 3/4 to the top with ice and all ingredients. Blend until thick and smooth. Pour into glasses and sprinkle the top with cinnamon, allspice or nutmeg. Optionally, add a floater of Tia Maria. Yum!
