Mobile Beat This Old Sound System

June 3, 2013 by Mobile Beat

toss-smallReality shows have been rebuilding houses, people and more for the last 20 years, since This Old House hit the air in 1979. Now, we have our own remodelers ready to tackle your DJ rig, starting with your sound system. Sponsors including QSC Audio, IDJNow, Arriba Cases, Pioneer, Odyssey Innovative Designs, and The Gibson Group of Brands (KRK, Stanton and Cerwin Vega) are ready to help with the remodel. And more are getting ready to jump on the bandwagon!

Is your system the one we should remodel? To be considered for This Old Sound System, send us a video “tour” of your sound system. Tell us, on camera, why you need to upgrade your gear and what it would mean to your business. We want to know what kind of events you currently do with it…and what new kinds of events you aspire to do with the renovated system.

After going through the videos, we will pick the subject of our DJ “reality show.” Then a number of options for the gear needed to do the remodel will be posted for the Mobile Beat social media community to comment on and vote for. We will also get opinions from experts in the industry, and have them explain the various choices. All of this will be chronicled online, and in Mobile Beat’s July and September print issues.

To join the fun, post a video, tag it with “Mobile Beat This Old Sound System” and link it up from the Mobile Beat Facebook page. Your video must be online by June 15th to be eligible to be chosen as the subject of This Old Sound System.
