Fix Your Process Part 2

Last week we touched upon the frustration you feel when doing business with a company that hasn’t fully flushed out their process, and then looked at ways you can apply that to your business.  We continue the examination of this this week. You want your process to be as easy as possible for your customers to navigate to find you, to get what they need and what they want.

Think about this scenario.  You’re in a different city that’s unfamiliar to you.  You go to TripAdvisor or Yelp to find a restaurant to have dinner at.  You click through to their website and it takes you to an unresponsive desktop site that you have to pinch and slide, the phone number isn’t clickable, the menu is hard to click on…how much time are you going to give a business in that regard?  How soon before you click out and go to a different option? For your clients, it’s the same exact thing. If they are looking you up on mobile (and trust me…they are), you should have a map to your office, or a way to schedule an appointment with you and make it easy.  Your phone number should be clickable to call and/or text. Think about all of the different scenarios and wants and needs of your client and then ANTICIPATE those wants and needs being ready to serve at a moment’s notice…even BEFORE when they realized they needed or wanted that piece of information from you.
