Milano – January 17, 2013 – V-MODA, the multi-platinum selling designer of headphones trusted by the pros and elite, is excited to announce its newest team member, Karl Detken Pro DJ, as Vice President of Interactive Media. DJ and Pro Audio industry members may recognize Karl as the man behind Pioneer DJ products.

“As we continue to grow our domestic market and especially as we embark on our global initiatives, we look forward to Karl’s contribution to our marketing and product development” states Val Kolton, Chief Visionary Officer at V-MODA.

For 18 years Karl directed Pioneer’s marketing, product development and artist relations. He was instrumental in the success of the CDJ/DJM/DVJ/EFX series and HDJ headphones. After Pioneer, Karl focused his time as a marketing, social media and audio tech guru. He personally built an audience of almost ¾ of a million followers on Twitter and Facebook.

“Having been with a market leader in Pro Audio for 18 years, I didn’t think that any manufacturer would be able to tempt me to get back into the industry,” states Karl Detken. “However, I was proven wrong when the owner of V-MODA approached me and demonstrated the award winning M-100 headphones and VAMP portable headphone amplifier and DAC. To put it simply, I was blown away by the sound quality, intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail. I knew that I was standing in front of the company where I’d be spending my next 18 years. I look forward to helping to develop and market the next world standard in audio technology.”
