LEDs Take Center Stage In American DJ’s Exciting New 3-Headed Tripleflex DMX Centerpiece Effect

LOS ANGELES – American DJ’s LED-powered Tripleflex is one centerpiece effect that will truly be the “center” of attention at any club or disco. With 3 scanning heads, — and a massive battalion of 96 red, green, blue and white 5mm LEDs – the Tripleflex will evoke the “oohs” and “aahs” of a fireworks display, as its bright, colorful beams twist, turn, glide, swirl and swivel, sweeping across every inch of the dance floor. Each of its mirrored scanning heads has a beam angle of 20° to deliver great coverage.

Equipped with a strobe effect and some amazing built-in programs, this 3-headed monster will captivate the crowd with its smooth, quick moves, powered by state-of-the-art 7.5° stepper motors. And with LEDs as its light source (24 red, 24 green, 24 blue and 24 white), the Tripleflex produces such rich, saturated beams of color that it even looks great without fog, making it an ideal centerpiece for venues where smoke effects are not desired.

Along with its eye-popping excitement, the Tripleflex’s advanced LED technology gives DJs and clubs other advantages over traditional halogen centerpieces. Its LED lamps have an amazingly long 100,000-hour life, eliminating the hassle and expense of changing lamps. You won’t have to babysit this baby either, thanks to the cool operating temperature of its LEDs, because it can run all night without shutting down for duty cycles. And while it flexes big muscle in generating excitement, the Tripleflex consumes a tiny amount of power – just 50W maximum – saving energy and reducing electric bills.

“With the Tripleflex, American DJ has brought LED technology to the classic DMX centerpiece club effect,” said Scott Davies, General Manager of the American DJ Group. “This groundbreaking fixture is another example of how we at ADJ are committed to developing an ever-expanding array of LED effects, so that the average club and working DJ can now enjoy the low maintenance, energy-savings and other benefits associated with this advanced lighting technology.”

A DMX-512 protocol effect, the Tripleflex fits into a variety of lighting users’ needs and experience, because it offers numerous control and operating options. For those who want to create their own programs, the Tripleflex can be run in two different DMX modes — 4-channel or 9-channel — depending on the degree of control desired. A handy 4-button menu system makes it easy to navigate through DMX settings.

If you prefer not to use a DMX controller, the Tripleflex can be run as an easy, plug-and-play effect in Sound Active mode, moving to its own built-in programs. To cover bigger venues, multiple units can be linked together via XLR cable for a high-energy synchronized light show. The Tripleflex also has an input for American DJ’s easy-to-use universal U3 Controller (sold separately), which can be used to control On/Off, Strobe and other basic functions.

The Tripleflex comes with a convenient hanging bracket and features multi-voltage operation (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz), so it’s easy to install and use anywhere. It’s also remarkably small and lightweight for all the big excitement it generates – just 15″L x 15″W x 8.5″H and 8 lbs. And it’s budget-friendly too! The MSRP of the Tripleflex is only $279.95.
