Mobile Beat at NAMM – And You Are Invited!

December 15, 2009 by Mobile Beat

While NAMM is traditionally a show that is for the industry manufacturers and dealers, Mobile Beat and the American Disc Jockey Association has arranged for DJs to get into the show for nothing or minimal cost.  Click through to the form at http://www.namm.org/files/pdfs/apps/mobile_beat.pdf and submit to NAMM asap and you can get in for only $25.

NAMM is serious about giving its Members every opportunity to come out of this recession stronger, more knowledgeable and better positioned for success. And they’ve invited various Member organizations to rethink, rebuild and plan for the future of this industry by participating in the new H.O.T. (Hands-On Training) Zone on Level 2 of the Anaheim Convention Center.

Aimed at examining today’s challenges, this new forum is designed to create custom solutions targeted especially to professionals in the recording, live sound, House of Worship, and stage and lighting industries. More than 15 industry partners, publishers, organizations and associations will offer a series of FREE special training seminars, face-to-face meetings, networking opportunities, and one-on-one mentoring to strengthen the knowledge base of industry colleagues.

Don’t miss out on this year’s show, January 14-17, 2010 in Anaheim, California. You must be a Member to attend so go to http://www.namm.org/files/pdfs/apps/mobile_beat.pdf and check out the products that will be debuting to the DJs at MBLVX this February!

He’s been voted Best D.J. in Ventura County, California multiple times. Jay Brannen is based out of San Diego and has been in the Entertainment field since his college days in Boston.  He believes that every event is unique unto it’self and that’s the way I approach each one. Whether I’m in front of 20 people at an intimate Wedding Reception or 45,000 at Ultrafest in Miami; it’s the event and client that I focus on.  As a Moderator and National Demonstrator for Pioneer ProDJ since 2003, published author in Mobile Beat Magazine and the opening DJ for Vanilla Ice at the Mobile Beat DJ Show in Las Vegas in 2009, this is the man that we wanted to be involved in this DJ showcase from the beginning.

And wrapping up the show on a whole new level will be….

DJ Sparky B, commonly referred to as “the wackiest white boy on the planet” has been in the game for over 20 years! He has come a long way from the days of his homemade DJ console. He is now the man and the force behind one of the “largest mobile DJ shows in America”. Sparky B performs nationwide at hundreds of events every year and has performed with well over one hundred national acts.

Funky, crazy, wacky, silly, outrageous and out of control; Sparky B has been compared to Carrot Top, Dane Cook, and The Beastie Boys, all wrapped up into one. At 6’6″ (without heels…) and 230 pounds, this tall crazy white boy has taken the phrase “stage show” to a whole new level. Being rated as one of the most outrageous DJ shows in the United States, Sparky B is constantly inventing new ways to hype up a crowd.

At least one more jock is still to be placed….stay tuned!

And if you are going to be at NAMM, make sure to be there at 6:30pm on Saturday in the Hilton lobby.
