Gemini’s CDJ Family Grows with CDJ-650

Anaheim, CA – January 19, 2012 Gemini, an esteemed manufacturer of DJ and Pro Audio equipment, today introduced the newest member of their budding CDJ family, the CDJ-650. Following in the footsteps of Gemini’s revolutionary CDJ-700, the CDJ-650 employs many of the same features with a more modest tabletop footprint. And NAMM attendees can be the first to check out the CDJ-650 at Booth 5700.

With true flexibility in mind, Gemini’s CDJ-650 supports playback from Audio CDs, CD-Rs and MP3 CDs, as well as USB memory devices. The unit also features a 5-inch touch-sensitive jog wheel that allows users to scratch or pitch bend. And with its super-responsive design, the jog wheel offers a vinyl-like feel that will even impress loyal turntablists.

For crafting an expert mix, the CDJ-650 boasts three programmable hot cues, a loop section, variable pitch control and a 3.2-inch full-color screen with a comprehensive waveform display. Plus, MIDI and HID capabilities ensure the unit can be used as a controller with your favorite DJ software.

“This is a professional DJ solution that’s robust, portable and dependable,” says Alan Cabasso, President of Gemini. “With versatile playback capabilities, an accessible price point and sleek, compact design, the CDJ-650 offers everything DJs need to elevate their performances.”

Since 1974, Gemini has designed products that offer value and innovation in the DJ and Pro Audio markets. Today, their portfolio continues to develop in scope and diversity, providing gear for DJs, musicians, engineers, professional installers and general music enthusiasts around the globe. From CDJ media players and digital controllers, to high-quality mixers, monitors and loudspeakers, Gemini has built a legacy with passion for innovation and devotion to their customers.
