DJ Tips In Under A Minute: Use Coax cable for long RCA needs

September 19, 2016 by DJJay

DJ tips in under a minute, this is a 50-foot section of coax cable. See right there, there’s coax end, but it’s also a 50-foot section of RCA cable. What I have done is I’ve used an RCA adaptor and hooked it right into the coax. I use this for when I have to do distance runs with RCAs. Probably the biggest one I come in play with is somebody wants to do a video montage and the screen and projector are across the room and it’s tough to run RCA cabling that far, let’s say 20, 30, 40, 50 feet, because you lose signal. So I just take some coax, I get a couple of these bad boys and I can run it that way and it’s a great way of keeping things safe and sound, in better quality and you are good to go. So use coax with RCA and you’re done, in under a minute.
