Mobile Beat Gear Guru - ProDJ Publishing
Jake started his career in the Mobile DJ business as an entertainer for the local production company of ProDJ Publishing (then ProDJ.com) at the age of 17 while still in high school. When Mobile Beat was merged with ProDJ.com to become ProDJ Publishing, Jake came on board as
the resident gear aficionado as well as trade show logistics/production coordinator. While still performing nearly 70 events per year for the local production company plus his full time responsibilities with Mobile Beat, you can say Jake lives the Mobile DJ industry.

Danno and the gang at the LA chapter of the ADJA proved as great hosts as we are rocking tonight in LA!
Ben Stowe is on stage right now giving a great presentation on lighting and Jason Spencer gave an outstanding talk.
Special thanks to pioneer DJ ( jay Brennan and Ryan Barnes in the house). And also much love to my Buddy Nick Andrews–who is wrapping his tour tonight in LA after being at all of the stops. Nick owns and created Open Air Photo Booths–a great product by a great person!
Cheers, and see you in the bay area!

Apologies for the delay in the post–this week has of course been fun, albeit busy out here on the road!
Kudos to William Beasley in Raleigh for his leadership and dedication to the tour and hosting the stop! Attendees alike commented that the show was great and also praised the hard work of William and his company, Rockstar Entertainment, for hosting!
We also saw a few familiar faces, like that of Bill Smith (of start.mobilebeat.com fame) and our friends Jaimie and Bobby with QSC Audio.
On to Charlotte!

Well actually not live, but still recovering from the phenomenal stop last night in Richmond!
JB Bostic and Liz Daly outdid themselves in our first ever visit to the capital of the south–proving to be the best stop of this leg so far. Attendance was great and Ben and Jason honed in their seminars into perfect synergy to create an awesome lighting night (sales AND operation).
Thanks to all who made last night what it was and we’ll see you next year Richmond!
See you all in Raleigh,
Jake

It has been a weekend on the road, my friends!
We’re live in the nation’s Capitol tonight for leg 2 and stop 6 of the tour! Jason Weldon is on right now educating the enthused attendees about the sales of lighting. Later on, tour newcomer Ben Stowe will be educating on DMX and lighting operation, which will make for a great lighting supershow.
Tomorrow we’re in Richmond–see y’all there!

Tonight’s show was a great for all involved including the unbeatable support garnered from the adja.
The Massachusetts and Rhode Island chapters recently merged–meaning that a lot of faces we saw last year at the Boston Stop. My friend Rob Peters even was kind enough to serve as the night’s MC AND even got us frozen lemonade!
Thanks Rhode Island and We’ll see you all next week!

Last night we rocked Edison, NJ!
It was a truly special night as we were welcomed by Jake Jacobson and his excellent group of members of the New Jersey Disc Jockey association as well by a performance from Wonder Mike formerly of Sugarhill Gang along with Henn Dogg and T-dynasty!
Jason Weldon and John Rozz rocked their presentations and we’re all set for Providence tonight!
Thanks Jersey,
Jake

Were on the road to Edison after a fantastic welcome from Hosts the Pittsburgh Chapter of the ADJA! With a great turnout as well as a streamlined two-presenter format, the show was on tonight!!
Special thanks not only to the Pittsburgh ADJA for the hospitality(you guys and gals are among our favorite local groups) but also to SParky B for making the trip to Steeltown and doing what he does–repping American DJ with style!
And our trip out of Pittsburgh wasn’t without a little adventure–the iPod we use to play tunes on the drive stuck on “surfin’ bird” by the trashmen. Six times in a row we were treated to this ode to aviary watersports aficionados and I have to ask you all if you have heard about the bird?
See you in Edison with our friends the Sugar Hill Gang!

Hey all,
Were rocking on the second stop of the tour with Jason Weldon now on stage giving a fantastic presentation on lighting.
Dan Nichols gave a great presentation on DJing and it’s impact on life–plus John Rozz is teeing up an energetic performance.
Special thanks to WNYMEA and CDJA for the great hospitality and excellent hosting by giving us our largest crowd of the tour yet!
See you in Pittsburgh,
Jake

Stop #1 is in the books! The Detroit Rock City show was a major success. A big thanks goes out to Mark Evans and the Detroit area ADJA for helping put together a great night. All three of the presenters were great- John Rozz with his high energy antics, Jason Weldon and his lighting tips, and Dan Nichols with his lessons on how to grow in both life and business. A reminder to everyone- be sure and pick up your 2011 MBLV convention passes at the shows. The special rate of $149 is only available at the tour sites. The hot new item of the night was the new wireless mic from Line 6. Don Boomer from Line 6 was on hand to talk about the new line, which operates in a completely digital bandwidth. Being outside the TV bandwidth, interference is a thing of the past. A very cool product- be sure and check it out at all the tour stops. Well, that just about wraps it up for the night. We’re rolling down I-75 towards Toledo, and then making the big lefthand turn towards Niagra. It’s a great night for driving- we’ll check in again tomorrow. From the road,
Joe and Jake
