I want you to grab your phone and I want you to look at it. Unlock it and look at it – almost stare at it. Hold your phone in your hand and look at it. Now, if you can’t look at it right now, Now, thirty years ago this phone did one thing and one thing only. It made a phone call. Well, today your phone does many, many more things. It’s a weapon. It’s a tool to solve problems. Most of you use it for texting, some use it for email, some use it for phone calls. As of late, the phone is now a broadcasting and video streaming tool to connect with anyone, visually, around the globe! Oh yea, and even now you use it for managing your health.
Well, for us salespeople out there – the phone is a weapon, okay. Pick up the phone and make that phone call to that chief executive you’ve been trying to schedule a meeting with, send em a text. Call the VP of sales because you have a sales training program you want to deliver to them… or call that chief financial officer because you have the numbers he or she wants to hear about – directly from you.
There’s a quote out there that says, “An email creates a reaction and a phone call creates a conversation”. Have more conversations and you’ll get more accomplished in your day. Remember, you have greatness within you. Always do it 10X and we’ll see you next time.
