American DJ WiFlex DMX System Is A Wireless Wonder

LOS ANGELES — American DJ takes wireless DMX control to the next level with the introduction of the WiFlex DMX System. Compatible with all standard DMX controllers and fixtures on the market today, this ground breaking new product uses an advanced frequency-hopping algorithm that goes beyond the performance of existing Frequency Hopping technology (FHSS).

Thanks to this technological breakthrough, the WiFlex DMX System avoids “blackout” periods that are caused by interference from “competing” W-LAN or any other wireless products using the 2.45 GHz band. The WiFlex DMX delivers a more reliable performance by going through only those channels that are not used at the time.

“There are many obvious advantages to wireless technology,” said Alfred Gonzales, National Sales Manager of American DJ. “It gives DJs much greater flexibility, by allowing them to control lighting in areas where it isn’t easy, or even possible, to run data cables. However, interference from other W-LAN devices has been a troublesome issue – until now!”

The American DJ WiFlex DMX System can transmit DMX signals a distance of up to 500 feet with an open line of sight. A sing WiFlex transmitter can send a constant/reliable signal to multiple WiFlex receivers.

Every WiFlex DMX System includes one transmitter and one receiver. There are 512 USITT DMX channels per system. This product also features a threaded clamp hole for mounting, one button for synchronization, 3-pin XLR, 5dB antennas, and locking IEC power cords.

“We’re very excited about this product,” said Gonzales. “Wireless is only going to become more and more important – and this is the ideal wireless solution for DJs, bands and clubs that want a reliable and affordable wireless solution.”
