ADJA tours CHAUVET

April 6, 2011 by Mobile Beat

Sunrise, Fla. – Over 40 members of the South Florida chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association came to CHAUVET® headquarters at the beginning of March. CHAUVET® served as host to the association’s monthly meeting and gave the group a tour of the 75,000 square-foot facility and an exclusive demonstration on wireless lighting.

Allan Reiss, product manager for club/DJ line, gave a presentation on the Satellite™ System which turns any CHAUVET® Satellite™-ready fixture into a wireless one. Powered by Satellite™, a cordless, rechargeable battery pack, any of the Satellite™-ready fixtures can go anywhere without cumbersome cables. If you use and want DMX, Satellite™ D-Fi includes a built-in transceiver to send/receive DMX signals.

Also shown was the all-new WELL™, or Wireless Event LED Luminaire. This is designed specifically to be a self-contained uplight for any event. WELL™ is powered by a 12-volt battery and has up to 12 hours of life. Also available is a six-slot road case which doubles as a gang charger for all the units.

ADJA guests were also treated to the new MiN™ family of palm-sized, ultra-compact lasers, available in three styles which come with a remote and two types of stands. Another newly-launched product, specifically designed for the mobile DJ, a new gobo projector called Gobo Zoom™ LED. Last of the must-have, new products are the VIP gear cases available in two styles.

“We were so impressed and thrilled to be able to see the inside of CHAUVET headquarters,” said Nate Horowitz, president of the South Florida Chapter of ADJA. “It was a great night of education, fun…and one heck of an experience!”
