ADJ Sponsors Offermann Seminar On Maximizing Lights At Mobile Beat Show
LOS ANGELES – (For Immediate Release) – American DJ is in the business of selling lights, but the company wants to make sure that DJs get the most “pure lighting excitement” out of the lights they have, even if this doesn’t always mean buying a new fixture. “Our business is based on providing DJs with the tools they need to create a great light show,” said Alfred Gonzales, the company’s national sales manager. “So we want to make sure they get the most out of the fixtures they already own. When they do this, their business grows and so does ours.”
With this in mind, American DJ contacted Arnoldo Offermann, creator of the Master School Dances video series, about doing a seminar on how to use your lights to maximum effect. Offerman readily agreed and the result is the upcoming “Getting The Most Excitement Out Of Your Lights” seminar, which will be held at the Mobile Beat MBLV17 Show in Las Vegas on February 5, 2013
The president of A Premier Entertainment-4SchoolsOnly (4SO), Offermann became a sought-after – and highly-paid – DJ by specializing in school dances in his native Florida. While other DJs in the economically depressed state claimed that schools never paid above $500, Offermann has earned as much as $15,000 per event, an accomplishment he attributes in large part to 4SO’s stunning visual presentations and light shows.
“While music is obviously the most important part of a dance, the visual appeal of our lighting is what propelled 4SO above other companies in our area,” said Offermann. “You don’t always have to buy new lights to accomplish this goal. We learned how to maximize each light’s potential to create exciting visual shows with high return on investment that allowed our company to expand every year – and these are the secrets I want to share in my seminar.”
Now in his exciting, fast-paced Mobile Beat 2013 seminar (literally, Arnoldo does not speak at a slow pace!), Offermann will draw upon his experience to offer DJs both practical and design tips on how they can use lighting to enhance the value of their services. He will discuss such topics as: how to get the most use out of each light and thereby maximize your ROI; LEDs vs. traditional UV lights; designing for your client and NOT for your fellow DJ; and even why “selling gear” is OK.
A highly acclaimed lecturer, author and instructor, Offermann is known throughout the industry as much for his skills as an educator as he is as a DJ. In addition to producing his own video series, he has written articles for a long list of publications — including Mobile Beat, Disc Jockey News, and ADJA’s Current Audition – and has been a featured speaker at MBLV, ADJA, CDJA meetings, wedding associations, and WeDJ Cruises. He also serves as an instructor in American DJ’s online ADJ University, and has appeared in ADJ’s VideoWave e-magazine.
“We’re excited to sponsor a seminar by Arnoldo,” said Brian Dowdle, Marketing Manager for American DJ. “Our company has worked with Arnoldo quite extensively on projects such as our instructional ADJ University, and we have found him to be not only very skilled technically and an amazing businessperson, but also one of those rare individuals who has a gift for communicating his knowledge to others, which makes him a superb teacher too. If you’re planning on attending MBLV17, this is one seminar you definitely don’t want to miss.”
