DJ Gear Selection Made Simple:
American Audio’s Factory Bundle Systems Lets Mobile DJ’s Concentrate on the Music, not the Equipment
LOS ANGELES – Things are complicated enough when you’re a mobile DJ. From choosing music for the event to setting up and tearing down your gear, there’s a lot to manage when traveling from gig to gig. American Audio’s new Factory Bundle Systems take the guesswork out of finding the right audio components so mobile DJ’s and entertainers can spend more time making music and less time choosing gear.
American Audio’s Factory Bundle Systems are available in CD and MP3 formats to meet the needs of most DJ’s and mobile entertainers. The kits are designed to save time, money and space by providing the DJ on the go with expertly-selected components that take the guesswork out of choosing gear. These all-in-one bundles include all the audio gear needed for a gig, and the components can be used to improve or expand an already existing set up. To protect the DJ’s audio investments, each Factory Bundle System comes with a strong, durable, heavy-duty case designed to take the bumps of life on the road.
American Audio’s newest Factory Bundle Systems include:
Great for live bands, churches, schools and small clubs, the PA Package #2X Bundle includes the M1224FX PA Mixer with 99 digital effects! It also has both mono and stereo channels, six XLR microphone inputs and a total of 12 line inputs. The system also comes with two XSP12A Bi-Amped Active Speakers, two speaker stands and rack mounting kits for the mixers.
The SDJ2 DLS Speaker and Media Card Player System Bundle allows the mobile DJ to transport music on an SD or SDHC card (up to 32 GB), with no complicated software, external hard drives or laptop computers needed! It has USB ports for portable self-powered USB hard drives or USB thumb drives. This easy-to-set-up system also includes an SDJ2 Media Player with built-in mixer and two of American Audio’s popular DLS 15P 15″ speakers.
The Elev8t-R System Bundle gives the mobile DJ or club owner unprecedented mixing flexibility. This great all-in-one CD/mix system has two Radius 1000 CD/MP3 players with full MIDI control and a MX1400 Professional Mixer as well as a RAD-12W Case with castors to protect the equipment during transport.
A complete, professional DJ sound system, the CK 1000 DLS System Bundle lets the mobile DJ play MP3′s, CD’s and CD-R discs with style. The centerpiece of this bundle is the CK 1000 MP3CD Player/Mixer, a highly affordable, superb dual CD/ MP3 player with a 2-channel mixer which eliminates the need for a separate mixer. The kit also includes two DLS 15P speakers, two SPS 1B speaker stands and XL-25 cable.
“American Audio is in tune with the real world needs of working DJ’s and mobile entertainers, so we put these factory bundles together to give them cost-effective, convenient, out-of-the-box solutions to their audio needs,” said Tom Freret, National Sales Manager for American Audio. “We studied what kind of gear they use and how they use it, then used that research to choose the components for the kits. These kits are great for the beginning professional as well as the seasoned pro, because everything needed is included, even the transport case, so there’s no guesswork necessary.”
All equipment in each Factory Bundle System is backed with American Audio’s technical support and limited warranty.
Profanity Content Filter on DJ Intelligence Music Search
July 28, 2009
DJ Intelligence now includes an optional built-in profanity content filter on all the music search tools. The profanity content filter looks for inappropriate words in song titles and artist names and automatically purges those songs from the search results so they can not be viewed. To enabled this new feature, please visit the Master Settings page of your control panel. NOTE: The content filter only searches for inappropriate words in the song titles or artist names themselves. It does not filter out songs with inappropriate lyrics.

The Art of the Remix Training Course Now Shipping
July 24, 2009
Interactive remixing course with Vincent DiPasquale and Steven Lee now available on the web
or on DVD
Hollywood, FL (June 8, 2009) – FaderPro.com and Auraleo Advanced Learning, producers of pioneering video training products, announce the availability of The Art of the Remix interactive training course. Formerly titled Remix It Like A Record, The Art of the Remix is taught by multi-platinum remixer/producer Vincent DiPasquale, together with world-renowned DJ, producer, and remixer Steven Lee, and created in collaboration with pioneering educator and Grammy-winning mixer Charles Dye. The course is available for users to stream over the web or on DVD.
The Art of the Remix is a comprehensive remixing course, where DiPasquale (Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Mariah Carey, Timbaland) and Lee (Lee-Cabrera, Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Strictly Rhythm) teach the art and craft of creating a cutting-edge, modern remix.
“Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to learn by working with some of the most talented producers on the planet,” continues DiPasquale. “And people are constantly asking me if they can sit in and watch during a remix. Now they can, as we remix a song together for an actual project.”
In this new course, the user will learn how to create infectiously powerful grooves, construct attention grabbing vocal edits, and develop trademark sonic treatments that really make a remix stand out. And all of these lessons are demonstrated using DiPasquale and Lee’s remix of Nadia Ali’s Billboard Top 10 club smash “Crash And Burn”.
The course includes more than 3 hours of video instruction and covers every aspect of remixing from dissecting the original song, the importance of tempo, time-stretching vocals, the beat and bass, to the creative aspects of remixing like creating feature and accent keyboard parts, understanding song and vocal arrangement, and creating energy, all culminating in the finished mix.
“What sets The Art of the Remix apart is that by following each step you’ll produce the exact same remix we did in the studio on your system,” says Lee. “Vince teaches you every single step of the process, and by following along with the provided sessions, you’ll be able to recreate the exact same result we delivered to the record label.”
The Art of the Remix is designed for new or experienced remixers, producers, engineers, or musicians who want to learn the inside secrets to getting big sounding remixes on any digital audio workstation.
Pricing and availability:
The Art of the Remix is available to stream over the web for $89 or on DVD for $99 (DVD purchases also include access to streaming)

“Must Plays” taking control of your DJ play lists?
July 22, 2009
A new feature has been launched which allows you to change the text on the “Must Play, Play if Possible, and Do Not Play” buttons on the Music Database. Prefer to use “Love It, Like It, and Hate It?” Or, perhaps something less forceful, such as “Please Play, Okay to Play, and Prefer Not to Play.” The choice is now yours as you are in full control! This new setting can be found on the Master Settings page of your control panel.
As you know, you can already specify the maximum number of requests accepted for each category, which allows you to control how many requests of each type you will receive. You can even set the maximum number of requests to 0, which removes that category completely. This new feature gives you even further control by allowing you to change the text on each category.
